history
Coggins Photography grew from a simple desire—to slow down and really tell stories with honesty and care.
It all began almost ten years ago when I was a college student at Mississippi University for Women, shooting under the name SRL Photography. Life pulled me away for a while—to raise my family and teach high school English—but the camera always stayed close. In 2023, I came back to photography with a fresh heart and a clear focus: to capture the meaningful, real moments—the ones that aren’t posed or perfect, but true and full of feeling.
Now, based in West Point, Mississippi, I’m lucky to work with couples and families who value those quiet, genuine moments in small weddings, elopements, and everyday life.
